We are pleased to announce that German espresso bar company Primo Espresso once again committed itself to becoming carbon neutral and thereby underlining its forward thinking philosophy. The carbon footprint of all business operations and locations for the year 2015 has now been completed; and all CO2 emissions have been offset.
Primo Espresso selected the Soddo Community Reforestation Project in Ethiopia for its offsetting. The project aims to restore the heavily degraded forests on the slopes of Mount Dakota in South Ethiopia’s highland region, and helps to promote local development. It has been certified by the renowned Gold Standard.
Primo Espresso operates 40 coffee bars throughout Germany and employs around 100 people. Since 2013, the company has been doing its business carbon neutral. Sustainability is an indispensable part of the corporate culture. This mindset includes the entire supply chain from coffee bean to cup, from fair working conditions for farmers and traders to the corporate carbon footprint.
The company is also an active member of the Senate of the Economy and promotes its World Forest Foundation.
